Bowling 300: Refine Your Aim
Maybe you are an occasional bowler hoping to take on your neighborhood bowling league with new respect. If you accept bowling is your calling, you’ve stumbled upon a key turning point in your development as a serious student of the game. Listen up, because this guide to “Bowling Like a Pro” stand as essential reading. Professionals from your city’s bowling pro shop want bowlers harness bowling potential. A wise bowling wizard once said: you get back what you put in (from the ball return – hah). I kid. I admit, so it’s more complicated than that. No worry, we’ll make sure you’re bowling your way.
It’s not a big purchase, invest a little in properly-fitted bowling supplies at a nearby bowling pro shop. You’ll notice a difference with your own stuff. I promise, have your private ball drilled for custom finger holes, and your game will benefit. A brand name weighted bowling ball can make a substantial improvement in your game. It’s also important you’re having actual bowling shoes which actually fit
If you may have previous acquired good bowling ball and shoes, listen to the second best piece of bowling advice: taking aim. If you face the pins, try not to focus on the back of the lane. Aim for the the markings like a barrel of a gun. The reason? It is easier to hit a mark that rests nearer. To get the most out of your aim, make sure you begin your approach at the exact spot on the wood each time. If you do it the same every time you can make small adjustements on your accuracy and angle.
Do we have any tips for curves, for proper speed and ball control? That’s the third-most essential bowler tip. The secret is the specialized bowling ball. Actually, pros bowl and carry at least two bowling balls to roll aggressive hooks, selected precisely for where they are. Word of warning: greenhorns should keep it simple, and don’t get a ball that weighs a ton. Some avid bowlers opt for bowling balls made for reactive expert grip. But these balls can make even some well known bowlers look like beginners. That’s our first 3 bowling tips. A pro from our bowling shop will return in the August edition.
Thanks, Michael Chase
We bowl with our team (the “Strykers”) made up of the guys and gals at our company’s department of communications down in St. Louis. I offer advice to beginning bowlers online and in my local newsletter. Also, I must give a shout out to our crew back home. Best of luck.
