Personal Computer ownership skyrockets and every small business started using email between customers, vendors, employees and locations. The information age was set and now some complain that there is too much information? But how can you have too much information.</p>
<p>The truth is you cannot, but if you do not have some filtering system for the abundance of data, then most all of it will side track you in a diffracted management path that neither leads you to your objectives or profitability. <strong>Enter the age of Data Smog</strong>, or over kill of irrelevant information and while we are on this subject I would like to recommend a very good book from the late 1990s and that book is; <strong>Blown to Bits: How the New Economy of Information Transforms Strategy by Philip Evans.</strong></p>
<p>This enlightening book indeed covers many topics the Information Age subject and how this has revolutionized the corporate world and leveled the playing field for small companies who understand the new dynamics.  Never before has small business and new entrepreneurial firms been able to move so far so fast and compete head to head with large ones. You are going to need some background before we dive into managing in the information age, so go to Amazon.com and buy the used book on sale and then find the rest of my business articles on line and read them one by one.
