One of our last towns was Seattle, and as always, we were backstage after the performance mingling with fans at what is known as a meet-and-greet. Tylee was the cutest girl I had ever seen, with her tan corduroy overalls and tiny bald head from her chemical treatment. Her Big Brother, Tre, and her mom were with her. She was only 5 years of age and already a massive Idol fan.
From the minute she walked into the meet-and-greet room, she did not leave my side. She cuddled me and kissed me as we sketched pictures together. Whatever her illness was it needed to be major, but despite it, she was such a perky and ecstatic young girl. Just as I was beginning to live in and get some semblance of normalcy back into my life, the telephone rang. ‘Nikki McKibbin, please.’ ‘That would be me.’ ‘This is the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Her name is Tylee, and we do not know if you remember her, but we might be exceedingly appreciative if you might make her wish come true.’ ‘Of course, I can recollect her,’ I announced. ‘How could I forget her? She was so adorable.’ ‘If you wish to satisfy her wish, you want to get on an aircraft to Seattle tomorrow.

Pink must have been her fave colour since she also grabbed a pink Beanie Baby teddy bear in her hand that she never put down. ‘She carries it day and night,’ her ma and pa told me. We chatted and giggled and took a lot of photos and videos. She showed me a little book she had made called Nikki points out that contained the pictures we had taken together at the meet-and-greet. She had me write in it. After a bit, Tylee was not feeling well, so she took a snooze, and her grandmama and I went shopping. At 1 time I gave her a tiny tease and she giggled, so I gave her another tease, and she jumped off my lap and we ran round the room playing tease tag.

Taio Cruz has admitted that he was “pleasantly surprised” when he went into the recording studio with Cheryl Cole and realised that she was actually able to sing.

It was recently announced that Cole has made the decision to delay the release of her second single until after Christmas. This means it will avoid a chart battle with the winner of The X Factor.
Discussing their collaboration, Cruz explained: “I was quite pleasantly surprised.
“A lot of people – including myself – had forgotten that she could sing, so when she went into the booth, I was like, ‘Wow, you can really do this’.”
So what does he think of Cheryl Cole in real life? Unsurprisingly, he had nothing but praise for the pop star.
“She is exactly the person you see on TV,” Cruz said. “Her personality is not false, she’s a lovely, laid back confident woman, who loves her music and we made some good tunes together.”
