The Ideal Gift for Bridesmaids: the Pashmina Shawl
Pashminas are rather convenient for all types of occasions as they are painless to place in your shoulderbag if it gets too hot. The wool of the pashmina is a great insulator, so instead of dragging around a large jacket on a chilly summer or spring evening, a shawl will serve as a convenient outer garment.
Pashmina shawls are now very fashionable as a fashion accessory for bridesmaids. Recent summertimes in the United Kingdom have been rather miserable, so possibly this has boosted this new movement. White pashminas, as well as cream and gold are trendy colours for wedding ceremonies, and look amazing if all the bridesmaids have the same colour. As a matter of fact, even a thin, silk scarf can make a super fashion accessory for the wedding.
With a larger pashmina shawl, it can also turn into a handy little blanket for those lengthy trips. And of course, a shawl can transform into a warm scarf for the winter.
There are two varieties of pashmina – the pure pashmina, and the 70% pashmina / 30% silk variety. The non-pure shawl you can purchase at cheaper cost than the pure pashmina wool opposite number, but it will be less cozy. It’s really down to you as to what you want to use your pashmina for. Is it only for fashion purposes, and/or also apparel to keep out the chilly weather too? We strongly recommend 100% pashminas to keep you warm.
